State of Alaska Department of Transportation
During the construction season of 2017 and 2018 I worked as an Engineer Technician for the State of Alaska in the Department of Transportation. I worked on the O’Malley Project Phase One. During the project, I kept track of material being used on the project, reviewed bills and payment orders, wrote daily reports of the progress of the project, and recorded and kept track of the trucks being used on the project. This job strengthened my organization skills. Below are two links describing the project in more detail.
Universal Studios Orlando
Blue Man Group
I worked for Universal Studios Orlando Blue Man Group from July 2010- October 2014. I preformed multiple roles at this job. I was a bartender, sold merchandise, worked with VIP guests, and provided quick service. I rotated positions depending on where I was needed. I also worked with countless guests from all over the world. I have won awards for Best Guest Service two years in a row. During my that time at universal studios, I also became a trainer and discovered my love for teaching others. This job taught me so much. It’s what inspired me to go to college to be able to reach my dreams.
Walmart Supercenter
I worked in Walmart Supercenter in Spokane, Washington from October 2009 to May 2010. This was my first corporate job. I worked in the electronic section. I was expected to know the merchandise and be able to past test on the information. This job taught be how to be patient and flexible. Everyday had new challenges I had to face.
Cornerstone Books and Suppiles
I work at Cornerstone Books and supplies from August 2005 - August 2009 as an sales associate. This was a small local business in Soldotna, Alaska. This provided a few unique opportunities, especially for a first job. I would order stock, organize product, update the online inventory system, and fax bills to different educational programs. The majority of the time, I would be the only employee in the store. I had to be independent and be able to handle emergency situations on my own.
